What exactly was the added benefit of replacing wiki formatting with html formatting on the fdk page? If you wanted to create an indent you could have preceeded a line with ':'

i just knew how to do it that way is all.. you mean the quote in the last bullet item? i figured since semantically those were all grouped items in a list the quote should be grouped with the relevant item, the last one. before it look almost like a separate item

Re:imps - Thanks for the clarification. I thought there would be a logical correlation between size and damage mod and edited the page once. I made the mistake of editing the dam mod to resemble the size. Would you think it makes sense to add one size increment each time there is a dam mod increment? Like so:

== Arx - Last update ==

The last update to Arx was ages ago, I admit, but I have a vague memory of adding the ability to clear and redo the Dark Acolyte quest. That feature was certainly requested. I will look into it in October. --[[User:Iktinos|Iktinos]] ([[User talk:Iktinos|talk]]) 11:00, 24 June 2016 (EDT)

I have an alt that had done the quest and had the Acolyte insignia and the skill Demonic Intent to 100%. however i rebirthed him from hob to dsd and he lost the skill but kept the insignia. so when i went back to the Haruspex he was confused and i was stuck halfway through a different quest (Auspices of the Temple).

in the most recent reboot Kerrinth fixed somethings and i was able to complete the other quest i had accidentally started, and then do the Acolyte of the Temple quest all over again. however i was stuck at the last step (and with the last insignia for -100% hp regen!) because apparently there was a check in the quest code that would not break the dropped fragile silver vial if you had already done the quest. luckily Kerrinth was online at the time and was able to adjust that for me so that the vial broke and quest continued as normal. After that the Haruspex give me a second Acolyte of the Temple insignia and i got back Demonic Intent to 100%. so in the end it worked out, i just have two Acolyte of the Temple insignias now (and as a side bonus i got the Auspices of the Temple insig as well). --[[User:3nki|3nki]] ([[User talk:3nki|talk]]) 17:43, 24 June 2016 (EDT)

Qismat is a '''very cheeky''' goblin wizard who likes nothing better than to
tinker with the sort of ancient, dark magicks which much wiser wizards
have grown old by avoiding completely.

Fortunately, he has thus far failed to lay his skinny, brown fingers
upon the kind of tomes which bid the unwary to summon tentacular
horrors, bring down the wrath of the gods, or vaporize the reader
with a loud bang - '''though not for lack of trying!'''

As a wee goblin, he learnt as much as he could about magick from
travelling magi and tribal shamans, and then sought out the hobgoblins
of the Ascension Woods, certain that the '''unavoidable fate''' for
which he was named would be found there!

He struggled to survive their tests and eventually earnt himself the
much coveted '''Rite of Ascension''', by which he might transcend his lowly,
goblin nature. The hobgoblin masters placed him inside a fabulously
bejewelled, hollowed-out rock called "Thunk!", lined with sparkling,
precious gems and a fortune in bloodstones. He grinned manically, as
he waited for the masters to gather, ready to gain a place among them!

As the ritual reached the final incantation, Time and the pure essences
of Heaven, the moisture of Earth and even the powers of the sun and moon,
all worked upon the rock. However, a terrible calamity befell the goblin,
'''for the nature of Qismat was irrepressible!'''

He resisted the rite, causing the soulfire to twist like a cyclone,
binding the ritual energies of Heaven and Earth within him. His
ascension became an apotheoisis, and with a sudden flash he appeared
among a gathering of immortals.

Alarmed, those gathered began summoning their paladins to slay the
intruder, but thanks to the training he received at Grunka's war academy,
he fled safely, leaping down, cloud to cloud, to the meadow, where for
a while, a number of paladins wandered in search of the spry goblin
(a large number of which found him and beat the snot out of him, but
thanks to his new-found immortal nature, just failed to kill him,
but let's not dwell on this as it detracts from this heroic tale!)

All this commotion brought him to the attention of Merringhand, the
Elder God, who grudgingly agreed to see whether Qismat would actually
be of use to the immortals and Midgaardia, and exalted him to join
their ranks.

The Angels are a class of individuals who have chosen to
sacrifice all mortal possessions and their former ways of life, and have
dedicated themselves to helping their fellow players. Angels try to remain
accessible and friendly to mortals, and will help when they can, but please
remember that they are not your personal slaves, and they do have the whole
mud to watch over. Angel aid also differs from the direct material aid
often associated with the hero class. Angels have given up fighting and
getting equipment; instead they try to help with advice and guidance, as
well as with CRs and emergency situations. Thus, the role of the
Angel class is that of a teacher/mentor to the mud, using personal
experience with the game to help guide fellow players to become better
mudders.

The Angels assist the Immortals in making Avatar a good place to play.
Angels cannot prevent mortals from encountering affliction and danger,
but they can and will help mortals learn to cope with such occurrences.
Angels stand ready to welcome strangers to our realm and to assist even
the smallest of Avatar's citizens.

Angels abide by the code of their kind. While they will offer quick help
in true emergencies, the best assistance they offer is that of teaching
and mentoring. Angels have a special place in their hearts for mortals who
are willing to learn the ways of Avatar and work at solving their own
problems.

Once a player reaches level 850, he/she is considered an Immortal of
Avatar. Immortals are extremely important in keeping
Avatar running smoothly. They play many different roles and handle any
kind of character problems, such as equipment reimbursements, offensive
behavior, and inter-character problems. Immortals also aid in the
improvement of Avatar by suggesting or even writing new features for the
MUD. They edit, write and fix areas. Immortals occasionally run quests
and contests. Immortals are here to answer your questions to the best of
their ability or help you find someone who can answer your questions.

Immortals on Avatar do not provide "divine intervention" to mortals. DO
NOT expect an Imm to help you level, give you free equipment (and you
cannot pay for equipment either), perform corpse retrievals - except in
rare circumstances at the discretion of the Immortal, give you levels
except in cases of certain quest or contest rewards, or give you gold. It
is considered improper to ask for intervention as it might be considered
cheating which would be punishable by denial for both the Immortal and the
mortal involved.

If for some reason something unusual happens and it is necessary to
discuss it with an Immortal, please find the most junior Imm on at the
time. Reimbursements, information you have about possible causes of
crashes, or inter-character quarrels are all good examples of things that
imms expect to be asked to correct. It is important to respect the role
of an Immortal, as they work hard to improve Avatar.

The recipe was obtained from a series of pages of manuscript scattered about Veil of Ecstasy after "a wave of bugs hit the MUD" over a couple of weeks, resulting in corrupted Immortal pfiles running havoc around there.

Once quest is done, player gets to choose between:
* spellpower boost: Sets level to 51, adds +2% spellpower.
* fighting boost: Sets level to 51, adds +2% melee power. (should be more damage than the 4DR [[Dark Dwarven Brand|brand]] or [[Spiked Sleeves|sleeves]] grant).
* healing boost: Sets level to 51, adds +2% healing power.

[[Lumoloth]] is a large boss mob, and requires spawning - to do so one needs to kill about 50 mobs that relate to Lumoloth (if a mob's death does not yield a colored message, it's a Lumoloth-related mob), self-spelling if required, and without leaving the area. The process can take several spellups, and makes the weapon extremely difficult to fodder. Getting a good max damage (49 or 50) requires luck.

While significantly harder to obtain than the [[Dragon-Blade]], classes lacking the sneak skill, or players who dislike the skill's short duration, might find the weapon useful. In addition, it is twice the weight, which is better for the skill [[smash]].

After polling was conducted on outland.org, it looks like Saturday has won for the 'boon day'. All races receive an xp boost, plus 3 other boons (for instance spell damage, bonus to archery, chance to hit more often, etc). Gains are NOT affected. Races will be divided as follows (see HELP SIZE):

* August 16th is medium races.
* August 23rd is large races.
* August 30th is very large races + all fdk + all imp.
